Wild Remedies
Foraging for herbal medicine
with Maria Fernandez Garcia
Friday 25 September 2026
Foraging is an ancient practice. We have been walking through landscapes, gathering wild berries, leaves and roots for food and medicine for thousands of years. We would have had an intimate knowledge of the healing properties of a rich diversity of plants in our hedgerows, woodlands and meadows but this has now been largely lost.
Join Maria from Healing Weeds to reclaim some of this ancient knowledge. We’ll learn about the folklore surrounding some of our wild plants, how to safely identify edible from toxic plants, forage from the garden, fields and hedgerows at Damson Farm and spend the afternoon making soothing balms and immune tonics for you to take home.
